Provincial Adaptation Case Studies

Two new case studies have been posted on the MC3 website. These studies provide province-level context to community climate change plans and initiatives by referring to provincial programs and their role in enabling local climate action. The case studies are available in both English and French.

Sea Level Rise in BC: mobilizing science into action, français - Élévation du niveau de la mer en C.-B.: transmettre les faits scientifiques pour agir, provides an overview of the BC experience with sea level rise adaptation, the drivers behind sea level rise action in BC, and highlights lessons learned in integrating science into government policy.

Adaptation planning: the local government experience in BC, français - Planifier l’adaptation: l’expérience des collectivités locales en Colombie-Britannique, examines the BC Regional Adaptation Collaborative (RAC) explores the drivers of and barriers to local government action on climate change adaptation.
