Jobs versus the environment finally dead

A new report from the Columbia Institute says the country would create nearly four million non-residential construction jobs over the next 33 years if we shifted towards a net zero-emissions economy by 2050. “If Canada is serious about meeting our climate commitments, we need to move faster in areas like renewable energy, green building construction, building retrofits, and transportation infrastructure,” according to its Executive Director, Charlie Beresford.

Last winter, I was privileged to lead the governance section of the Sustainable Dialogues Canada report, Re-Energizing Canada: Pathways to a Low Carbon Future. This report is a detailed roadmap by over 85 of this country's scientists about how to implement a renewable energy future, so what is stopping the government and industry from implementing it immediately?
