Two new case studies have been posted on the MC3 website. These studies provide province-level context to community climate change plans and initiatives by referring to provincial programs and their role in enabling local climate action. The case studies are available in both English and French.

We have just released a two page summary of Climate Change Adaptation and Mitigation: An Action Agenda for BC Decision-Makers, a report that distills the findings of MC3 and provides recommendations to stimulate more community innovation and implementation of climate change adaptation and mitigation.
MC3's Peer-to-Peer Learning Exchange, held January 2013, brought over 40 climate leaders and champions from across BC to Royal Roads University’s Centre for Dialogue to exchange information about the drivers of climate action and innovations occurring in the province.

The City of Surrey is a rapidly growing municipality in the Lower Mainland of British Columbia. Through the lens of sustainability and energy resilience, Surrey is pursuing a suite of climate change mitigation and adaptation strategies. These include the creation (and possible future expansion) of a District Energy System, densification, climate change action planning, and the development of an overarching Sustainability Charter.
